Share The Wisdom!

Microneedling became extremely popular in the last 5 years and for a good reason, its a relatively cheap, yet effective skincare treatment.

In todays post we will cover everything that has to do with microneedling, who should do it, who shouldn’t and we will also review the popular glopro microneedling tool by beautybio!

Excited? so are we. So lets dive right into it!

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure, where we use a device such as the glopro microneedling device, with tiny needles to create minuscule punctures in the skin that are very accurately and evenly spaced.

The goal behind it is to force your skin to heal and rejuvenate, thus release fresh collagen and elastin and build new skin cells.

Microneedling doesn’t hurt and the needles are very tiny, it will leave your skin with visible wounds before they heal, but that is completely normal. In some cases, it might create temporary irritation.

Usually, the skin will heal within a few hours to a few days, depends on your genetics.

The reason we love anti aging / cosmetic procedures such as microneedling, red light therapy treatments, and alike, is simple. They are natural, non-invasive, affordable, and very effective.

Many prefer these treatments over spending thousands on surgeries and fillers, others get them as an addition to more expensive treatments, regardless of the path you pick, they are very good for you and you should definitely get them.

Now that we briefly explained the treatment, lets talk about why microneedling is very beneficial for your skin.

The (Many) Benefits of MICRONEEDLING

There are many benefits to microneedling, and being a very popular and in some cases controversial method of cosmetics, it was studied in multiple clinical studies by big name institutes in the medical community.

The main benefits of microneedling are:

  • Increased collagen and elastin levels
  • Reducede appearance of fine lines
  • Prolongs the lifespan of skincells
  • Encourages rejuvenation of skincells
  • Helps with evening skin tone
  • Helps with getting rid of acne scars and other imperfections on your skin
  • Helps with increasing blood flow

These were all proven in medical trials and clinical studies. We’ve reviewed some of them ourselves.

As discovered in this clinical study by NCBI, microneedling is safe, good for your skin, and can even reduce the appearance of wrinkles in patients.

In a different clinical study by Harvard Med School, it was concluded that “microneedling helped with healing scars including acne scars, and reverse skin damaged cause by the sun“.

This clinical trial by Suneva Medical Inc, focused specifically on the effectiveness of microneedling in healing acne scars.

The subjects in the trial went under 4 microneedling treatments and the results were shocking. Eventually, there was a magnificent reduction in the appearance of acne scars, reducing their appearance anywhere between 80-100% depending on the patient.

You can get microneedling treatments at a spa, however, they are expensive and the treatment itself is very simple, thats why we recommend getting a device like the glopro microneedling device and treat your skin yourself.

You will not only save a lot of money, you will also be able to treat your skin at your own time and at the convenience & privacy of your own home.

One device that is very popular among micro-needlers, is the glopro, which we have looked into and will review in this part of the post.

This unique device combines red light therapy and microneedling, both in 1 device. It promises a pain-free microneedling experience, well made and designed.

As an ‘all-in-one’ microneedling kit, the glopro comes with a sanitizing spritzer, and 5 skin prep pads, which is extremely convenient.

Another great thing that makes the GloPro very unique, is that you’re able to purchase different ‘head’ sizes for different areas of your skin.

They offer heads that are designed specifically for the face, eyes area, jawline area,  your lips area, and theres a bigger head attachment that was made for bigger areas on your body like your legs, booty, arms and chest, which is very cool and saves you a lot of time and money.

We recommend using GloPro 2-3 times a week, at the evening time for best results.

Most GLOPRO reviews we’ve read online were extremely positive. People who’ve used it report mind-blowing results.

One thing that kept coming up in the reviews were how fast the results came. Some reported better looking skin after as little as 2 treatments which is crazy.

We believe it has to do with the built-in red light therapy that comes with the glopro device, so you get to enjoy both treatments (microneedling+red light therapy) in 1 product.

Another thing customers have mentioned is that they love the different head attachments the device offers, including the sanitizing spritzer and pads that are used prior to the micro-needling treatment.

Now that we covered that part, we would like to answer some frequently asked questions about microneedling in general.

Are microneedling results permanent?

Yes. Microneedling is not a quick-fix, its an actual treatment that usually takes time to show results and is supposed to be done periodically. Meaning its not a ‘one-and-done’ the same way you wont apply a face-cream once and then stop.

Will microneedling help jowls?

Yes. If you’re concenred about the jowls area specifically, we highly recommend getting the glopro device , as it offers a speicfic head attachment for the jowls area.

Which microneedling pen should i buy?

As we mentioned before, we recommend the glopro microneedling pen. There are other good alternatives, however we couldnt find one that combines both red light therapy and microneedling in one device for a good price, like glopro offers.

Microneedling who can do it?

Anyone that wants to improve their skin, get rid of acne scars, sun damage, and reduce the appearance of lines. Microneedling is for both men and women.

Can microneedling make skin worse?

No. Microneedling will not make your skin look worse. The only time we would suggest not to get a microneedling treatment is if you’re suffering from severe acne.

Let the acne dry up, and then get microneedling treatments.

Microneedling when pregnant?

Microneedling when pregnant is safe. Unlike using botox or fillers, you are not injecting anything into your skin.

However, please consult with your dermatologist as we do not provide medical advice.

Microneedling how long to see results?

Most people see results within 2-3 weeks. In some cases, you can get results even quicker than that, but don’t get discouraged and give microneedling a real chance to show you its powers.

Will microneedling help with acne?

No. Microneedling is not intended to treat acne, it does help with reducing the apearance of acne-scars.

Will microneedling affect my fillers?

No. Microneedling doesn’t interfere with fillers or botox. In fact its recommended that you do both.

Microneedling is a fantastic treatment that is relatively cheap yet very effective. We highly recommend that you at least give it a shot, if you don’t like it, at least you tried something new.

Microneedling can help you with getting rid of imperfections on your skin, its pain-free, and is very easy to do. You simply get a device like the glopro and roll it against your skin, 2-3 times a week for about 60 seconds per area.
